I have not tried to hide anything in the photos so what you see is what you will get.

The gold wash on the inside of the bell is also in good condition and not all worn off like a lot of old horns. The end of the Bell also has the beautiful triangular ring on it characteristic of this vintage, as well as the beautiful engraving shown in the photo. I have never touched this horn as far as'touch ups' or dent repairs and it is completely original, with all matching valves and slides, valve caps and bottoms, etc. These are very small, not serious and could easily be taken out. As far as dings, it has a few real small dings on the bell crook, and a few on the underside of the tuning slide. Lacquer can be easily replaced if you so desire but I preferred the old goldish patina on the horn so I left it as is. As you can see in the photos the lacquer is only about 65 percent there.

It is a pro player with a beautiful sound and the pitches lock in nicely. This cornet won't need an expensive valve re-lap like so many other used up horns on Ebay. The valves are exceptional with little wear. The compression on this cornet is really exceptional.and not just'for it's age' as some Ebayers claim. The serial number is 226219 which according to the King website dates. Up for auction is this King Silvertone cornet.
